MILLER SIGNS ON WITH CJ WILSON RACING FOR 2012 GRAND AM CONTINENTAL TIRE SERIES ST SEASON
-- MILLER WILL PAIR WITH BRUCE LEDOUX TO KICK OFF SEASON --

cjwr-drivers02Marc Miller has signed on to compete for the 2012 Grand Am Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge championship with CJ Wilson Racing starting at the Daytona 200 at Daytona International Speedway later this month. Miller, from Holland, MI, will be teamed with Bruce Ledoux aboard the No. 04 ModSpace/Construct Corp/Guardian Angel Motorsports/RaceNowForAutism.org Mazda MX-5 with support from New Balance, Phiten, Forza 4 and Oakley.

12-daytona001test"We are very excited to have Marc behind the wheel this season,” said CJ Wilson, CJ Wilson Racing Team Principle. “He did a great job last season in the few MX5 Cup Series events he raced in and his technical feedback and driver coaching will be an asset to both our Grand Am program and the MX-5 Cup team for this year.”

Miller, whose experience includes karting, formula cars, stock cars and sports cars, was the 2009 Mazda MX-5 Cup runner-up and 2008 US National Rotax Karting Champion. His teammate, Ledoux, has several years of Grand-Am competition, including CTSCC and has competed in three Rolex 24-Hours At Daytona.

“Looking into the season we know we have a lot of great competition and a lot of effort will be on the development of our race cars,” said Miller. “The team has been amazing to work with and after completing the test at Barber in November, I am encouraged by the progress made. I met Bruce last year and we get along great. We are both fathers of remarkable children that happen to have special needs and there is a common bond between us.”

Miller, whose RaceNowForAutism.org website funnels awareness and donation pledges to local and regional charities and non-profit organizations that assist families affected by autism, is already working with Bruce and his Guardian Angel Motorsports cause that works in much the same way.
